During the COVID-19 pandemic, most major insurance carriers including Medicare, BCBS, UHC, Aetna, and Cigna have expanded their coverage to include physical therapy telehealth visits. You may contact your insurance carrier directly to confirm your coverage or contact our office with your insurance information and we will verify your telehealth benefits for you.
Telehealth visit charges are the same as in-person visit charges with the same copay and coinsurance amounts. However, some insurances have even reduced their typical patient financial responsibilities for these visits. Find a private, comfortable space with adequate space to perform your treatment exercises. You will need reliable internet connection and a device with enabled audio and video capabilities.
Your licensed therapist will send you an introduction email with tips for the session as well as a link to login and create your Medbridge account. Then immediately before your telehealth session, your therapist will send an invitation email to join the active telehealth session. Remember to allow Medbridge access to your camera and microphone to maximize the benefits of your session.
Both Compass PT and Medbridge handle all date from the telehealth sessions in compliance with HIPPA/ Hi-Trust regulations.
